I got nasty habits, I take tea at three

I have a fascination with tea based fragrances. Tea smells like comfort, leaves, chestnuts and smoke.

My favorite tea scent is Takashimaya's T. It is all kinds of smoke and a thick black tea. It is a hot piping cup of sinister and mystery. It would be the perfect fragrance to wear on the Orient Express or in a Poirot novel.

L'Artisan's Tea For Two is a a whole vat of honey with just a spot of tea. I think the brash honey note scares people off. It is a slightly difficult fragrance to wear.
Susanne Lang's Exotic Tea is a smoldering tea bag. This is a great fall scent. Full of dry leaves and the beginnings of a bonfire.
Barney's Route Du The is a green tea that borders on a cleaning solution. Not a fan.
The new Jo Malone Tea series are pretty fabulous.
The fragrances are Assam & Grapefruit, Earl Grey & Cucumber, Fresh Mint Leaf, Sweet Lemon and Sweet Milk. Sweet milk is my early favorite. It has a toasty almond note with anise and creamy milk.
Other Tea Fragrances:
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea
L'Occitane Green Tea and Jasmine
CB I Hate Perfume Russian Caravan Tea
Elizabeth W Sweet Tea
Comme des Garcons Series 1: Leaves Tea
Comme des Garcons Series 7: Nomad Tea
Amouage Epic Woman
Creed Fleur de Thé Rose Bulgare
Diptyque Eau Duelle

Annie,
ReplyDeleteOne of the Cartier hours fragrances, I think maybe the 13th hour is lapsang souchong all the way, and it is good. Also, Theorema is pure Constant Comment.
I totally agree about the Barney's fragrance.
Griffie
I am loving the new Jo Malone Assam & grapefruit. One of my favorite tea scents is Serge Lutens 5 O'clock au gingembre. And I agree with Griffie about Theorema. I am always interested in trying new tea scents also!
ReplyDeleteI'm not such a big fan of tea scents, but then again, I am not a tea drinker. But one that I really like is Tocca Bianca.
ReplyDeleteTaksahimaya T was wonderful. I miss that store so much.
You already listed almost all my tea favourites except Bulgari Black...
ReplyDeletei miss the limited edition elizabeth arden 'red door velvet'. spritzing it on was like curling up with a toasty cup of tea under a plush blanket. kept the damp & chill away in fall & winter.sigh.
ReplyDeleteI love these "fragrance notes"pieces, will miss them when done. Tea,I drink about seven cups of Stash double bergamo Earl Grey a day. Twinings is good too. Just got Jo Malone Earl Grey&cucumber fragrance,it suits me to "T."
ReplyDeleteHermessence Osmanthe Yunnan and Atelier Cologne Oolang Infini are my favorite tea scents.
ReplyDeleteLove the 40 Days series! :)
Love tea scents. AG Duel is a fabulous one. Osmanthus Interdite is a great floral tea. Recent favorite is Atelier Oolang Infini. It's a lovely sheer tea for warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention AG Eau du Fier.
ReplyDeleteI love tea fragrances! I just got a sample of Hermes Osmanthe Yunnan and it is absolutely gorgeous. I have and love Jo Malone's Earl Grey & Cucumber and I'm probably going to purchase Assam & Grapefruit this weekend as well. I liked Fresh Mint Leaf but couldn't see myself really wearing it. I really like L'Occitane's Green Tea, and I do like their Bergamot Tea as well on some occasions though it's a little bit murky on me for some reason.
ReplyDeleteAnd Tocca Bianca and Parfums de Nicolai Fig Tea are on my to try list (particularly the Fig Tea since I adore fig too). And now also many of the fragrances you & the other commenters have listed. =)
I LOVE tea!! Too much. I loved Beth Terry perfumes - all tea based. I also like Tocca's Bianca fragrance. http://www.candlesoffmain.com/tocca-bianca-edp.aspx Tea, lemon, sugar and a touch of rose. Perfect on a hot summer day!
ReplyDeleteI love Sweet Milk from Jo Malone collection too!
ReplyDeleteLiking the Earl Grey and Assam and Grapefruit from that collection too.
Late to the party, but I like Bulgari's Au The Rouge and the Demeter Earl Grey. Anyone know of one that smells like Lapsang Souchong tea?
