I like the shoes - but not necessarily with the outfits - which (I hate to say) don't look at all fresh to me.
I secretly have an affection for this collection, which looks like something shifty ragamuffins threw together: '40s grunge. Then again, I was watching "La Chamade" with Catherine Deneuve walking through one scene in a drab camel-colored turtleneck and plaid pleated schoolgirl-ready skirt, a tan trenchcoat thrown over the whole, and then the next all made up in a floor-length hot-pink YSL silk caftan, supposedly looking stunning, and you know, I preferred the schoolgirl outfit? (BTW, don't watch "La Chamade." Or watch it with the sound off on fast forward, and just look at Deneuve's clothes. The perfume is better than the flick.)
