My friend Mary(huge Garbo fan) wrote me and told me that it was a Clarence Sinclair Bull.
It really is a stunning photograph. I am sure with Garbo as your subject there really is no way to take an average ho hum picture.
One of my favorite portrait photographers was Yousef Karsh. The man inspired me in my own portrait photography, he was a genius. Maybe you can find some photos of his online. I am going to go look for Clarence Sinclair Bull online, to see more of his work. Thanks!
