This is a Vogue photograph from years ago. This reminds me of the dress that Renee wore to the Oscars last night. There are differences but I instantly recalled this dress. I thought that Renee looked wonderful but I just can not get out of my head that she looks and dresses so much like Meg White of the White Stripes. I really can see Meg in that dress last night.

When I saw the White Stripes in NYC Megs wore a white gown with her hair huge and teased. She looked like Loretta Lynn from the 60's. I loved it!
I turned to my friends and said that I wanted to do that. They promptly mocked me.
Megs is trying to be Loretta and Renee is trying to be Megs.
And Loretta isn't trying to be anything. Bless her country soul.
