I used to have some great pictures of Marianne with Mick. I must have deleted them in a crazed cleaning fit. The best Rolling Stones songs were inspired by Marianne. They are: Wild Horses, Sister Morphine, As Tears go by(she released it first) and You can't always get what you want. (rollingstones.net/fashionspot.com) Posted by Picasa

Happy Faithfull day, too! I love this woman. I saw her read from her autobiography and went to get my book signed. When it was my turn I found myself gushing, "Ms. Faithfull, I love your work, 'Broken English'" helped me get through adolescence." She looked at me, grinned and said, "Yeah. Me too." LOL!

BTW, she says she WROTE Sister Morphine, and Jagger-Richards just co-opted it. Apparently they made a habit of that; some of the guitar lines and melodies on "Let It Bleed" were Mick Taylor's and not Keef's.

I am jealous that you got to meet Marianne! What a great moment you had with her.

I was beyond tickled when Jennifer Saunders cast her as God on Absolutely Fabulous. That was pure genius!

I have read comments she has said about Mick. She does not describe him as the love of her life. I would be curious to know where she rates in his conquests. I have a feeling she was the most important one. Not Jerry,Bianca or Chrissie.
