Blogdorf Goodman is a mishmash of beauty product reviews, musings on fashion and swooning over fragrances.

I spotted a great thread on fashionspot that featured the great Suzy Menkes. It was about an article she wrote in the International Herald Tribune about a black rose trend. She spotted it at several fall shows. Here are some examples that I found at style.com and some featured by some of the gals at fashionspot. Posted by Picasa

If someone could/would cultivate a *true* black rose, I would fill my garden with them and be able to die happy... And since I'm wishing on stars, please make them fragrant ones too!

LOVE IT! I want a Black Rose fragrance--something rosy, boozy and spicy! Swoon!

Goes well with the Victorian/Goth trend. I've noticed lots of the girls in NYC have already abandoned the Sienna Miller boho look for a lacy, black/white/grey Victoriana thing. You know, I think all the designers must have been looking at the same photos of Goth Lolita Japanese teens that WE were loving last year!

Tbone: We were so ahead of the industry. LOL

Trina: My dream rose is a blue version. I would also love different shades of black. Like a dark gray.

Paris: That sounds like a great fragrance idea.
