Here are a few of my favorites from the resort collections. By far Lanvin had the best collection followed by Chloe. The worst collection was Marc Jacobs. It was just plain awful. All photos from style.com

It's the hats! All those lovely hats. And I'm not even a "hat person." Very elegant.
You are so right: the Lanvin stuff is straight up beautiful. Now I'm curious about Marc Jacobs, though. I usually love him! Will have to see the collection.
BTW, this whole idea of "resort" wear always cracks me up. Who are these people buying these clothes to wear at resorts?
T: Resort wear collections always crack me up. I think of Valentino and Chanel....but never Chloe. I guess there is a whole new resort wear customer. Maybe Paltrow complained. She had nothing to wear on her cruise.
The Marc Jacob collection is frumpy and just plain ugly. I just can not "ugly up" the blog with pictures from his collection. You can check it out at style.com

Having now seen the MJ resortwear collection, I now feel disoriented, like I don't know what resorts are at all.
Yes, the flat espadrille/dress sandal combo was particularly inscrutable.
Hello! I'm very much a hat person, and so I've been going gaga over all the lovely-lovely hats this season! They are classic (but still with a bit of a modern flair!), and I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for hats like these to come back in! =)
