The original Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Way more interesting, glamourous, talented and swoonworthy. Of course...there is booze and domestic violence...but that is later. This picture is the beginning. (photo by Bert Stein) Posted by Picasa

As usual, I stop over here first thing and find something to brighten my day. God, they were glamourous, weren't they? I think that's part of why "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" never quite worked for me. I just knew George and Martha were going to jet off to Puerta Vallarta and make up.

The young Elizabeth Taylor truly takes my breath away. Magical.
I myself would be MUCH more interested in Brad and Angelina if there were some domestic violence, drugs, booze etc. YAWN-- Brad Pitt bores the heck out of me, and always has.

"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" still ranks as the horror movie that scares my husband the most.

The look on her face is so intense--you could take it for love, disapproval, worry, scorn, or admiration. We were watching her in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof recently. What an actress!

Thanks for the comments!
I have always loved that picture and I had to look high and low online for it. I think it has always captured their relationship. I had no idea it was a Stern photograph.

Diane: How was NYC? Did you visit TAK?

I have such a crush on Richard Burton, I see a little bit of him in Russell Crowe which explains why for a year I had a massive crush on Russell Crowe.

It's The Taming Of The Shrew that leaves me with a wicked smirk on my face.

D: That is disappointing that John Henry was not working. You would have loved him. He is such a teddy bear.
I promise to write because I can not wait to hear about what you fell in love with at Caron and the other stores. I am hoping to go back to NYC in the fall for a few days. I adore my one day trips but there is so much more to see and shop for.
