I love the feather dress! I find it endlessly amusing that they had to do 60-odd takes because the dress kept molting, and Fred Astaire said that he couldn't see what he was doing!
Eeeee! I love feathers. I'm still sad I didn't bother to have a custom feather fascinator made for my wedding headpiece.
Dear Keeter just sent me this movie. If you look closely, you can see tiny feathers flying off that dress into Fred's face.

Tania: I just went to a dinner with my boss and a very stylish gal had a wonderful Phillip T-like feather in her hair. I was envious.
