It's wonderful to look back at those patterns and styles. This image in particular reminds me (in some ways) of the now nearly forgotten work of Jacques Esterel. It's fun to look back at that which has come before, A. What a nice idea to post these :)
Was it Cardin or Pucci who did the flight attendant uniforms for Braniff? Or Courreges? Anyway, these remind me of them. xoxo
Great color and patterns! I love that style, bold fabric and simple silhouette.
Thanks K. It was the one dress that got me. I wish I could have done a side by side shot. There is hardly any info on Esterel on the internet. I am going to have to go through my fashion history books to find a worthy picture for you. BTW: How many esterel perfumes are there and have you ever tried any? I really would love to get a great list of vintage fragrances together.M: It was Pucci. Halston did the uniforms in the 70's. I will try to find a picture for you.)))M(((tbone: I agree!
The only one of his I've tried is called Brigand, and frankly it's old enough that I think the quality is a bit suspect now. I dunno how many there are but I've seen a couple others that I can't remember the names of anymore.
