Huge fragrance news:
Ormonde Jayne has a new fragrance coming out according to the London Times. It will be called Orris Noir.
It is a spicy oriental with notes of pink pepper, cardamom (you know I am a sucker for anything with this note), iris , coriander seed, bergamot, pimento berries, myrrh and patchouli. The notes give me hope that once again I will fall under the spell of a Ormonde Jayne fragrance. I have been waiting for something new from the Ormonde house. I know if I am ever lucky enough to meet her I might have a "Beatlemania/In Sync" meltdown. There will be gushing and awkward "Champaca is so great" proclamations.
The real question is: Will it be as good as Frederic Malle's Iris Poudre? I would love to hear thoughts from my fragrance friends or OJ junkies. If you have yet to experience her fragrances then check out the site at: http://www.ormondejayne.com/

My two faves are Champaca and Frangipani. Although I do like Ormonde for being just so different and intriguing...it doesn't smell as good on my skin. The floriental/pepper/cardamom notes remind me of Chinatown (which I also love). And fingers crossed it will have the delicious OJ base at the end.
Anon: I gues the EDP will be ready at the end of the month. The EDT will be ready for a september release.
I have to say it has been a while since I really... really... really wanted to purchase something unsniffed.
