Blogdorf Goodman is a mishmash of beauty product reviews, musings on fashion and swooning over fragrances.

Today Blogdorf Goodman took a field trip to the local Sephora for research. We played in the mens fragrances looking for worthy scents to blog about. This little guy was a complete surprise to the entire gang. Who knew that Gucci Envy for Men was so damn good? I feel like I have been living under a rock.

This is nothing like the womens version. In fact they do not seem to be even related. It is hard to believe they share the same name of envy.

The notes are Opoponax, Incense, Patchouli, Amber, Musk, Cedarwood, Cardamom, Anise, Ginger, Nutmeg and Pimiento
It is a deep dark mysterious amber mixed with comforting nutmeg. Gorgeous combination of notes. You can never go wrong with anything made with cardamom.

This is liquid gold.

Thumbs up(way up) from me, cavewoman, griffie and Tussah.

Available at Sephora.

That's sooo weird because I just bought this for my boyfriend, and I am obsessed with it.

A standout scent on a wall on which there are few standout scents. So many men's scents tend to be crispy citrus or musk based. I wonder who the perfumer was for this delicious juice!

The Divine Miss K: You have chosen an excellent scent for your man. It practically drugged all four of us it was so damn good.

P: I never pay attention to that wall. There are so many good mens fragrances.
I should check out NST to see if the perfumer is listed.

Mel: There is always a risk for going crazy on the application. This scent is great though. You have to check it out the next time you visit Sephora.

I really like that smell. Another great scent is Issay Miyake for men. I don't let the title 'Men's fragrance' deter me from trying them out. If I like it, I'll wear it, be it a men's scent or a women's.

I wish I could have been there with you!!!

This sounds wonderful. I love amber-y scents. But how is the patchouli... is it very much much a strong player in the mix? I tend to get headaches from it... but otherwise it sounds divine! =)

wwdn: I think we tried that scent. It is all a blur after Envy and Cartier's Pasha.
I love and wear Ormonde for men.

Koneko: I wish you were too!!!!
I told them about sundays so we will have to plan something soon.
Not only are we getting the Armani counter....but it looks good for Shu.
Keep it under your hat.

Oh, Gucci Envy. I really liked the smell, but alas, an ex-boyfriend wore it every single day and it is now ruined for me.

Add another to the tally of bad-association scents for men, along with Acqua di Gio (college BF) and Polo Sport (high school BF).

capitalbarbie: That sucks.
It is such a great fragrance.
Alas RL Safari will never be the same for me either. It takes me to a place...and that place is bad. LOL
