Rock the Gloss Challenge for September 22nd 2006:
I am wearing Clinque's Waterviolet lipstick. It is very similiar to Revlon's Colorstay Lux Lavender. It might be too bland for me today. I should have went for a red lippie.
Lets dish. What did you think? Who will she choose? I think she will choose neither. They are not worth the trouble. She should go back to knitting.
During the show Six Degree's two of the main characters are sitting in pedicure chairs. The dark haired girl asks Hope Davis what nailpolish she has on. She replies " Marshmallow layered with Ballet Slippers".
I was not paying attention until that point. I am a huge fan of that combo from Essie.
I am really ready for nailpolish month.

I went for a manicure a few months ago and they did Essie's Allure layered with Essie's Mademoiselle and I thought that looked really nice.
I really want her to pick McDreamy. I know neither of them are worth the trouble, but I love him and her together. They are just so hot together. Plus he is McDreamy! I have essie's mademoiselle on today. Its a staple!
Today I'm wearing Dior Lychee Luxe gloss, but I'm wishing I'd put on a nice nude.
I don't like Meredith anymore. I watch the show for Christina and Bailey and Izzy. I don't like Meredith and how she treats Finn, I don't like how George treats Callie (who I adore), I don't like how McDreamy (hot as he may be) treats Addison AND Meredith...
So I watch for Burke, Bailey, Christina, and Izzy. Burke is MY McDreamy!
And I'm so low-maintenance and pathetic with my nails..right now both my mani and pedi are hideously chipped. I need to put on some Veronica Mars DVDs and redo these puppies..

why can`t they bring back mcsteamy? i love essie's fed up.
On a side note re: the pedicure on 6 degrees...did anyone else catch the fact that as soon as the two gals left their pedicures, they are both walking down the street wearing pointy-toed, high heeled boots? I mean, come on, what better way to destroy a fresh pedicure? And I don't care how long they sat under the UV lamps or what kind of quick dry they're using. smush city.
And mar, I'm with you on the whole meredith thing. Moreover, what is up with McDreamy telling *her* that *she* had a choice to make? Did I miss something? Or isn't he the one who is still married? hmpf.
I just love the feel of the blog today. Bunch of chicks sitting around talking nail polish. Very calming after a hard day at the intellectal property law firm. *yes, Annie, you heard me right!* xoxo
for the essie combo, should marshmallow go on top of ballet slippers, or ballet slippers on top of marshmallow ??? thanks !
Today I'm wearing Bobbi Brown Sheer in Peony. It's the perfect pink and the texture is just sheer and glossy enough for a Sunday.
I wondering if anyone here has tried Nars China Blue eyeshadow on their eyes? It looks fabulous in the case but I haven't had a chance to try it on at the counter yet.
FYI, the marshmallow-ballet slippers combo is from the devil wears prada (the book, missing from the movie). Jessica Duchamp says that it is ballet slippers with marshmallow on top of it.
With ballet slippers on bottom and marshmallow on top, would it look too opaque?
