Blogdorf Goodman is a mishmash of beauty product reviews, musings on fashion and swooning over fragrances.

I had the best makeover of my life a few weeks ago at a Macys event. It was at the Chanel counter.
Makeovers are always a blow to my wallet.
I get caught up in the moment.
This time was no exemption.
The only difference is each and every product I purchased is so damn wearable. They will never be regulated to the "what was I thinking drawer" that houses countless teal eyeliners and "hard to wear" magenta shadows.

Chanel's Winter Shimmer powder blush: A very lovely shade of pink with some shimmer. It smells like Creed's Fleur de the Rose Bulgare.

Chanel Inimitable mascara: The best I have ever used. Great brush that leaves no mess on lashes. No smudges, great volume, length and the best curl in a tube. I am beyond smitten.
My lashes have never looked better.

Chanel's Winter Nights: The most amazing palette. The greenish black shadow is the "Holy Grail" for any smokey eye. Worth every penny.

Chanel's Wonderland Glossimer: A soft pink(almost looks like pink tinged snow) with subtle shimmer. This is a strange one. It does not have a lot of pigment but somehow it just seems to make your lippie better. The shimmer and the lovely shine of the gloss make it a must have.

Okay, that's it. I've been thinking for months about going to Chanel and getting a makeover. Between your testimonial and the colors in that shadow quad...how could I not?

I had a good snort over that comment about the teal eyeliner. I always get that one, too! The other for me is coral lipstick. Just garish.

I got the Glossimer in Wonderland and the Winter Nights eyeshadow quad, too!

There's nothing like Chanel beauty products to brighten my day :)

Ooh, did they give you a smoky eye? Pale pink lip, smoky eye?

I'm laughing too at the teal eyeliner comment, mostly because I just bought one, got home, and immediately thought, "What was I thinking?" before chucking it into the same compartment as the hot pink and electric blue eyeshadows.

Greeneyes: You are going to love that quad. The taupe color and the greenish black shadows are amazing.
My last teal experience was at Nars. I loved the look from the makeover but I was never able to recreate it.

Victoria: This is a very lovely collection. Your taste in everything is stunning!!!
I *wish* I could be at the Bday celebrations next weekend. Give her a toast for me!!!!

Erika: I have worn the quad and wonderland every day since I got it. I am addicted.

Dana: OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am stunned.
I will write you later tonight.
))))))D((((((

tbone: It was better than the NYC Nars and Shu makeovers.
My "What was I thinking Drawer" also contains those colors plus a whole gang of glitters. You know I have that drag queen trapped inside of me. HA

Ava: It is such a soft pink. I bet it would be stunning on fair skin. Like a slight flush.

this is a little off topic, but remembering your may mascara madness, what would you say is your overall favorite mascaras?

Yay! Today is my bday and I picked up the Imm. Mascara and Winter Night. Pale lip, smoky eye...check!

Very pretty. I'm a big Chanel lover, but thankfully, these colors are way too light for me, so I won't be running to Saks tomorrow. On the other hand, that mascara...
(and as for the teal liner, I'll take the fifth)

I always have to fight getting makeovers simply because I can't afford to buy any more make-up! But these are such lovely colors.

I've been dying to try Inimitable. Love those new rubbery brushes.

Hi Molly: I will.
I am very behind on my emails but will try to get back to you tonight or tomorrow.

Jamie: This is my personal best so far...but I have not tried Dior's yet. I was a Shu fan before falling for Chanel.

Johnica: I LOVE the winter nights quad. I am ignoring all my other shadows since I bought this.
Happy Belated Bday!!!!

Gaia: I was blown away by this mascara. My lashes are short, straight(poker straight to be exact) and not exactly lush. This mascara made them long, curled(and stayed curled all damn day) and lush...like fans. I am converted.

tessa: Me too...but I like to blame my spending on the blog. LOL
I really need to go on a "no buy".

Beauty Chick: I am LOVING the brush. I love how clean the application is. There is no smudges or any mess. It goes on evenly.
