Some nail polish porn for Tuesday morning:

OPI's Black Satin, Black Tie Optional and Take it for Granite.

Black Tie Optional is a deep black eggplant with a copper-like shimmer. It takes two to three coats to get the right shade. Black Tie has a great sheen that lasts well. Looks like a fresh manicure throughout a rough work week!
This polish looks best in the sunlight. It shimmers with a great fire of greens and ambers.
One of OPI's best polishes.

Take it for Granite is a shimmery gun metal gray. Very pretty and perfect for the winter months in Ohio.

Anyone try these?
What do you think?

OPI's Black Satin is sadly discontinued. Shucks! I missed that one, A.

But I will look for Black Tie Optional and TitFG. I hope they are not discontinued.

All of these colors look great!

I love nail polish almost as much (but not quite as much) as I love fragrance. :):)

Hugs!

A, one more thought: OPI tends to "re-cycle" its colors. Inspired by this lovely post, I went out this afternoon to visit a local beauty supply store. I purchased their new Sapphire from the Designer Series collection. I swear it looks like a cross between Black Satin and Black Tie Optional.

Have you noticed this with OPI? I purchased a mini-bottle of a beautiful brown/copper shimmery color three or four years ago. Now it's the ever-popular Romeo and Joliet.

Hugs!

Violetnoir: I will have to check out this Sapphire!!!
I know that OPI has the same habit as MAC with recycling(but with a twist) colors.

Griffie: If we come up next week...please bring it. We might be visiting for that sale. *wink*

With all the metallics and shine seen on the S/S 2007 runways, this colour will be good for a while....

love the blog btw. you've been linked, do you mind doing the same? :)
