"Getting Nailed" challenge for January 27th 2007:

I am wearing OPI's Red Like Roses. This cool toned red has a spark of life to it. It seems to just glow. I love it more than Essie's Jag-u-are or Bungle Jungle.

What is your polish this week? Post your answers in the comments.

Dita Von Teese during the couture collections.

Have a great weekend!

I will be back with a post on monday.

If you are waiting for an email....I am behind and working on catching up.

This week's polish is Essie's 'Bordeaux', but it was my second choice as the salon had run out of Essie's 'Very Cranberry' which is what I really wanted.

Essie Times Red Square. This berry red creme caught my eye at the wholesaler, but uggghhh. I hate Essie polishes. It is so streaky even with 2 coats.

Dita's nails look so retro in that pic. I like it!

I always use Opi, but a friend of mine recently told me that her nails were actually stained from painting them black so much...could it be?

let me know if you would like to swap links!

I've got the Blues for Red (OPI) is my current fave.

I guess long painted talons are coming back, huh? For years I've only been allowing myself to have red nails when they were all short (usually after I'd broken one & had to cut them all off), but it looks like the Dragon Lady look is making a comeback. Hmmmmm...

OPI Red Hot Holiday. Love the longer red nails even though it wasn't always in. Mine are medium length. Not dragon lady, but not short either. it works with red just fine.

The first half of the week I had OPI Yucatan If You Want and the second half it's been OPI Nomad's Dream. On my toes it's been Essie Priceless.

I wish i could even get involved in nail polish. lol. for as beauty obsessed as i am, my nails get really neglected. i move too much and always chip them. I used to try though...

so: my nails are natural lol

TO MODEL CITZEN... your nails are stressed not from the color but from the formula. OPI has formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl pthalate in it. ALL VERY BAD for your overall nail condition. Take it from a beauty pro with weak nails you have to use a safe formula to get the results you desire and to protect your nails. A little bit of the bad stuff can do months of damage on a weak set of talons - trust me I know.

Today's polish is Guerlain's Rouge Hollywood. It is a deep, rich, pinkish red-frankly I thought it would be a deeper red than it is. I also enjoy their Rouge Passion polish. My freind gave me the best compliment on my manicure-she said my finger tips looked like flying Smarties! Thanks for the beautiful blog!
