On February 14th 2005, I started this blog.
I was encouraged by the wonderful Robin at Now Smell This. I thought that it would be a perfectly harmless thing to do. I never dreamed that anyone besides my core group of friends would read this. It has been a wonderful experience. I have made new friends, lost some old ones, discovered new fragrances, found the perfect red lipstick(Lancome Behnz), made an enemy of Marc Jacobs, rode in the Bond mobile, fell in love with La Mer foundation, and recreated this Sex in the City scene many times in Takashimaya.
I want to thank all my faithful readers, friends and fellow bloggers for another wonderful year!

There is no great dish to the MJ story. It refers to when the NYTimes quoted me saying that he had the worst collection of the season. The blog was a few months old and I had no clue that anyone read BG outside of my friends. It was a huge and delightful shock.
It was one of my blogger friends that pointed out that MJ might have read the diss...and that he might want to kick my a**.
It has been a running joke ever since.
I joke about it...but chances are if we were walking toward each other on the street...I might duck in a back alley to avoid him.
