This list was compiled by Lauren Conrad at Allure. She is my favorite writer at Allure. She seems to always know what I want to read about!
Let us know in the comments on what you think of any of the products featured on his list. I am very curious to hear your thoughts on the Inoui line.

Inoui ID was the best brand that Shiseido ever launched and it was a great pity that the nuts at Shiseido decided to kill the brand. They had the most awesome range of eyeshadow quads in the most gorgeous and unique array of colors that you won't find in other brands. The texture was incredibly soft and silky. Their liquid foundation was also my daily staple.
I have never heard of Inoui but it sounds interesting! I could not live without my Shiseido eyelash curler. Shu's gets all the hype, but I prefer Shiseido anyday!
I was particularly fascinated by his interest in certain visual artists and works of art. Influence and inspiration! (I personally tried to emulate Madame X's makeup when I was a goth-ish teenager.) And now, like everyone else, I'm curious about Inoui ID.
Too bad that Shiseido killed it :/. He seems to love it and I was ready to try and get my paws on some of it. I love that he carries pictures from his garden and inspiration from other artists (as well as a card from him hubby :). Loved this article too!
... Didn’t like the scent of Ford/Lauder bronzer
... Love rotating pencil cases through my makeup stash – but I have pencils in them ;], sometimes tins.
... No doubt that Tweezerman rocks.
... LOVE seeing so much Mac!!!
... Mac Foundation: I wish I could settle into a Mac foundation again, something is always off when it comes to me and the foundation shades/texture of my favorite brand. Currently loving Shiseido’s very water resist spf 42 … but headed to La Mer next thanks to 40 Days of Brands.
... Mac Brushes: Totally agree although SYB convinced me to pick up a Prescriptives brush recently and it is NOTICEABLY fabulous!!
... I’ve wondered about L’Occitane’s Immortelle Eye Balm. I may give it a try soon.
... Evian Spray – absolumente!
... I didn’t know about Mac’s cleansing TIPS – how did I miss this?
Darn, they still had Inoui stuff when I was in Japan this March. Wish I'd picked up a bunch.
has anyone tried this mascara? i'm on a mascara hunt. : )
Anon: If you are interested in wp mascara, look at Blogdorf's May 17 post. Lots of readers gave me great suggestions! I have not tried the Shiseido but I'm going to over the weekend (tres excited!! :).
Isn't Lauren Conrad from Teen Vogue? Is there a Lauren Conrad at Allure, too? It was a great article nonetheless. I enjoy her writing...
Inoui ID-I love the e/s quads! I have the pleasure of owning all but 1 of the Inoui ID quads-thanks to haru!
I'm really sad that the brand is no more now :(
I forgot to add this photo of my collection of Inuoui ID e/s quads.

I have a few more since this photo but you get gist ;)
I'm still astonished by the complexity and beauty of the Inoui ID eyeshadow quads. I have three; haru and other people's reviews got me interested in it and I'm glad I checked it out before it was discontinued. The liquid foundation is undetectable on my skin and wears beautifully. I love the eyebrow pencil too. It's a joy to use.
i want the inoui id brochure and planner!
i totally enjoyed the article. i'm a makeup artist and i found myself even more passionate about artistry and i look forward to trying even more products!
i am interested in the Inoui ID cosmetics. I have my mom's WWD Beauty and the latest one features an article on the Sheseido CEO. I will have to re-read it now. I do remember seeing something on why they discontinued certain brands.
They also discussed, albeit briefly, their new association w/ Dick Page
What i like about Dick Page is that he isn't a make-up snob. He mixes mass market w/ dept/expensive brands.
I wonder what Dick Page is going to do now that Inoui ID is no more.
What i am really interested in is the black Japanese Q-tips. anyone know where to buy them
BTW i have both the shu and the sheseido and i reach for my sheseido more often
Someone mentioned Lancome's Tres Bronze. I saw it in a magazine. I thought it was an eyeshadow. I tried to find it.. Now I am starting to think it is a bronzer.
I don't know why I thought it was an eyeshadow when I saw it in the magazine..
Any comments?
