Letters to Blogdorf

I'm dying to try out the new blue nail polish trend (and trying to get my hands on OPI Ink!), but I'm wary. I generally use the same color on my fingernails and my toenails, and I work in an office. So I sorta feel like having blue fingers and toes would be too much...I've got Sephora nail polish in #55 and #56:

If I use one of these on my toenails, what shade would you recommend for my fingers that would coordinate?

Help! (And thanks!)~Tara

Silver or pearly white, maybe?

I hear you! I work in government and have the same type of conservative folk around me (roll of eyes!) but I still love having my nails and toes match. In recent years, though, I've branched out too so here are some thoughts -- a matte nude in your skin tone would really let the toe color sing, a sheer or shimmer/sheer with an apricot or peach tone (whichever flatters your skin tone) could be a nice, but soft, complimentary contrast to the two blues. When you rock it, post and let us know! Molly

I think a nude color nail with Sephora #56 on your toes would be stunning! This way, the focus is only on your toes. Please post your choice! Chrissy...PS love this site!

I have Sephora 55 on my toes as I type this! I'm doing clear fingernails with it, but I think it would also look great with a french manicure, or pale pink, peach, a matte silver (but a pale one,) or even a light blue.

Pearly white or a flattering nude would be a good balance with the blue. I also think this is a much more modern look than matching fingers and toes, but that's just me. I love the Sephora #56!

silver sounds extremely complimentary, but i don't feel comfortable wearing that to work, so i imagine something else would be better. a strong nude (nothing too pinky) is what i would suggest!

some shade like the matte creme shade jennifer aniston wears would look really good with the turquoise blue-green; very beachy and lovely w/ the bobbi brown eye palette.
