My home computer is on the fritz. It appears that the end is near for my trusty PC.
My techies have never seen anything like it and hold no hope for a recovery.
We need a computer miracle.

I'll miss reading your blog in the meantime! I am sorry your computer bailed on you and is causing you all this trouble.
I know exactly how you feel, A: my PC gave up the ghost last week (it switched itself off and never came back to life; no remedy) and I've just spent seven days installing software, hardware, etc. on my new computer. It is soooo time-consuming, just to get back to square one! And I've lost masses of emails, etc. (Luckily nothing drastic, I don't think.)
Hope your computer is not beyond repair. :-)
By chance do you have Internet Explorer 7 on your computer, it seems to have given my laptop (which is fairly new) the death sentence. The people at Best Buy told me this is happening to everyone, they had to reboot my computer from scratch... ugh, technology. We'll miss your posts, hurry back!
