DKNY Spring 2008

Inspiration: Patti Hansen, Sharon Tate

Makeup Artist: Charlotte Tilbury

Products: MAC

Look: lilac pink tinged lips, cheeks and eyes naked and shiny

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury (working with MAC Cosmetics) gave the models a wide-eyed, innocent look. “It’s sort of like Sharon Tate, a no-makeup, fresh-faced look, but in a modern way,” said Tilbury. She curled the models’ eyelashes, enhancing them with a bit of brown mascara at the base of the lashes, and adding a very subtle bit of green eyeliner. Cheeks were flushed with a sheer raspberry cream gloss, while lips got a coating of lip conditioner. (WWD)

Nails: On nails, CND’s Jan Arnold chose an as-yet-unnamed medium pink polish for fingers, accented with an orangy shade for toenails. “We’re doing very few matching fingers and toes,” said Arnold. “Nails have come into their own as a fashion accessory. Why not experiment?” (WWD)
