Dear Blogdorf........
Hi, my name is Matt.
I was trying to date an article of clothing and came across your name. Any help is appreciated.
I was shopping at some Akron thrift stores yesterday. I was in a Salvation Army in the worst part of town, right down the street from the jail, where ex prisoners are given clothing vouchers so they can start a new fruitful life. A jacket caught my eye. I looked at the tag and saw it was a Gaultier from Bergdorf Goodman. The homeless and prison shoppers seemed uninterested so I purchased it for $2.99.
Can you tell by the photo how old it might be?

Dear Matt,
This is the best Salvation Army find ever!
I have found some great vintage pieces in Akron and Cleveland...but this one is pretty fabulous. I am going to guess that this jacket hails from the 80's. It has a Pretty in Pink/Duckie vibe going on.

No idea but I agree that it is a serious score! And that it has an 80s Duckie vibe.
That's a great find! I think it is circa 1987 or 88.
