Maybelline Define-A-Lash Lengthening Mascara
I splurged on this tube based on its Granny Smith apple color. It promised a fuller and longer lash fringe, so I ignored the little voice in my head that kept repeating that I had enough mascara tubes to fill a football field at home.
This mascara utilizes the revolutionary rubber wand. It has all the powers of Mr Fantastic. It can be bent in half and twisted in all kind of ways. The Chanel Inimitable and the Max Factor Volume Couture wands can not boast this feat. The Define-A-Lash wand is a "smidge" longer with similar bristles. The bristles do not extend to the top of the wand like Chanel or Max Faxtor.
The mascara formula does not smudge or clump. It is washable and does not leave a mess on the face. It separates the lashes very well and gives definition. The pigment is weak and the lengthening action is nothing to write home about.
So it was a bust.

Thanks, Blogdorf! I'm forever scouting for good drugstore 'scaras. I hate to pay $30 for something I use up every 3 months (and am supposed to throw away). Even though I WORSHIP at the altar of Dior's maximeyes (I'm the one who got a bunch of wp + volume mascara tips from your readers). For drugstore wp + volume my fav has been the Max Factor Maxx Volume (I think that's the name) although Rimmel has one that runs a close 2nd. Sadly, they really don't measure up to maximeyes but when I layer that with a wp cover it breaks the base lash volume up and kills all the maximeyes juiciness. Ah, the troubles of a Glamazon with puny eyelashes ;]. Ciao bellas! Molly
Thanks! I was tempted to try that one myself...
Have you tried DiorShow or Rimmel Extra Super Lash? They're favorites of mine.

That's too bad. I much prefer buying drugstore mascaras and so I can indulge in other expensive products!
I don't want the mascara (haven't worn the stuff since I had eye cancer - have yet to find an eye-makeup remover that doesn't require a certain amount of rubbing or pressing on lids). Anyway, I just want that cute green flexible wand. LOL!
I use this and it works. it lasts on me, now if I have it on from say 8am til 8 pm it will require a small touch up. I like it, it's cheap and the wand is cute. LOL
