Getting Nailed Poll:Code Blue

I have decided to give OPI's Russian Navy a try!
At first glance this polish appears to be a blue violet purple color.
The first coat is a royal blue with red shimmer.
The 2nd application is a deep and dense sapphire shade.
What nail polish did you choose this week?

Disclosure: I tested this polish at my local nail salon.

Labels: I do not own this, Nail Polish, OPI

BG, I am wearing Vodka & Caviar by OPI on my nails and toes. I wanted it a little color in my life this week.

I'm actually wearing that colour right now! I had my nails done for the first time in years and decided to give it a try. I don't like it as much as I thought I would, but it keeps getting looks. Hmmmm

I also have Russian Navy on today!

A male friend said that this color is British racing green: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_racing_green
and he knows a lot about color:)

Have been wearing Russian Navy for a few months and always get compliments. For some reasons, guys love it (guys of all ages, too). It is a purple-blue with red in it.

anon:
British Racing Green is a forest green....

Under neon lights Russian Navy does reflect back as forest green on me:)

Hi! I'm wearing Zoya Freja...pewter grey. It's a favorite of mine.

I'm wearing OPI's Catherine the Grape. I haven't tried Russian Navy and since I have Zoya's Indigo, I don't think I'm going to get another blue polish. I've gotten lots of compliments for both colours! =)

I have been wearing it for the past 3 weeks now! It's one of my all time favorites and it's how it landed on my list of favorites for 2007. I agree with the compliments from the guys comment!

LOL

that would make sense since flourescent/neon lights are green cast, and the glitter is red... ;)

Annie,

Did you get Chanel Blue Satin yet? Any thoughts? I was more drawn to the lighter blue, Azure was it?

No polish on today, I've wreaked my nails and need to start over. Maybe a nice strength building clear is in my future.

At the moment I'm rockin' OPI's Vodka & Caviar on my tips. Such a gorgeous creme red! Given that it's summer in Australia, I'm a bit hesitant in putting on dark colours on.

If I have OPI's Russian Navy, do I really need Chanel's Blue Satin?

I did a sparkly red for New Year's but right now I'm wearing boring OPI Spaghetti Strap!

I only vacillate between pale pink and dark dark burgundy. Nothing in between. Does anyone else feel that way? And I need to stop biting at my cuticles!

Chanel Blue Satin! LOVE IT! Its a gorgeous super-dark navy. Not as much shimmer as Russian Navy (which i also have and like), but I am preferring less shimmer in my darker colors as of late.

ok mine is Long Kiss from Chian G, the one I named is the OPI version.
Long day here.

chanel's blue satin + lippmann's rehab. the nice thing about the layering is that blue satin gives the same general effect as rehab, minus the 8,000 necessary coats.

I'm wearing that one currently! I love the new OPI collection.

Ohh, I wanted to love Russian Navy. Unfortunately I found it went on gloppy (I think I'm the only person who has this problem with OPI, it's not the first shade this has happened with) and even though I used a base coat, I was stained like a smurf for an age. I looked frostbitten. Now I'm scared to use it again. What can I do to make this stuff work so I love it like the rest of the world?

I'm trying deborah lippman for Bath and Body works, not impressed with the formula's ability to stay put, but it has great color!
