Day 12, Stila's Kitten Eye Shadow
Stila's Kitten eye shadow has a high shimmer factor with a smooth creamy texture. The pigment and lasting power rate very well in comparison to other brands. There are many workhorse shades in the Stila catalog including kitten.
Kitten is a peachy champagne shade with a whole lot of frost action. The frost aspect has scared away many a makeup junkie. A light hand and a love of shimmer is required.
This is not my favorite Stila shade. That review will show up later in this series. It will not surprise you knowing my love for all things taupish mushroom.
Let me know what your thoughts are on this Stila shade and any others.

This is my fave Stila eye shadow, and the base for many of my looks. It blends with my pale skin beautifully and has an amazing texture. I can also see this working on dark skin as an evening look. Medium skin tones, it's probably meh.
It's not my favorite. Way too shimmery.
Favorite eyeshadow ever. Fabulous texture. Beautiful shade. I could wear this every day. It's the only shade that I've hit pan on since becoming a true makeup addict.
I second every letter that Marley wrote. Simly put - I adore it. It is only one I use everyday for work. The texture is silky smooth and buttery, the shimmer is not over the top (imo).
I guess, I love it because it makes me feel pretty with just one colour on lids.
(*Today I got two more siblings = Wheat and Golightley.)

I just had to run and check my pan of Kitten to make sure we were talking about the same shade. I wouldn't describe the shimmer as being anything approaching "lots".
Like other people have said, on super pale skin (that's me) it blends right in. Really more of a glow effect than a sparkle, especially in the shadowy regions of the eyelid.
I've always wanted to try this shade because I think it looks gorgeous and versatile. Unfortunately, I have terrible luck with Stila eyeshadows. No matter what I do, they crease very quickly.
I agree with purplemoonshoes and anonymous, on us Pale Princesses it is a glow-y, marvelously subtle shade. I am well into my second Kitten and considering how much makeup I have and little I get out these days that is saying quite a lot. Pretty much the best peach shimmery shade ever, in my book.
jdbsusanna -- have you tried an eyeshadow primer? I've had wonderful luck with UD Primer Potion, but there are other equally good products, I'm sure. I'm amazed by how fresh (and uncreased!) my eyeshadow looks at the end of the day when I use UDPP. It's a total staple for me now.
Re: Kitten -- I love it, but like some other commenters, I'm fair-skinned. I could see how someone who isn't as pale might feel that it's a bit too frosty.
I used to like it when I first got it, but now find it too shimmery, and it even irritates the skin under my brow.
I use kitten everyday. It's such a pretty shade. I'm fair skinned and it doesn't look too frosty on me. I love it!
Love the Marilyn picture! She was so pretty.
I've tried Kitten twice. The first time I found it way to frosty for my comfort level. The second time I had better brushes and worked it as a wash then did the black liquid liner look. I can't say I'm a fan and it seems it's a love it or hate it shade for most Stila lovers. I'm kinda in the no thanks camp but I've had rotten luck with my Stila choices.
I don't own Kitten, but I swatched it on my hand when I was looking for a champagne-y pink that would be subtle enough for the office, and I found it to be really shimmery for me. I've got so many pinks and peaches and shimmers that I don't think I can justify buying it, especially when I'd just be buying the pan. If Stila had better packaging (having to buy a quad or a cardboard pan-holder as well as the eyeshadow?), then perhaps I'd pick up Kitten.
I love this shade. As well as the less shimmery Starlight.
I'm a medium-toned person and Kitten is way over the top frosty on me.
