Bobbi Brown Nude Palette

Another workhorse Bobbi Brown Palette!
This one is in a bento-like box with a myriad of useful shades. There is a Buff and Nude Shimmer Wash with Bare and Naked Eye Shadows. The lippies are Bare and Beige along with Brownie Pink and Cocoa Lip Color.

The eye shadows are perfect for a daytime workplace appropriate look. They give a sheer wash and finish. The lippies are not shades that I am normally attracted to.
I generally shy away from browns.

The Bare shade is quite possibly the perfect pinkish nude. I have used it alone and mixed with other shades like Nars Foul Play Gloss. I received more compliments wearing these browns than any pink themed lippies. These shades will help build or complete any brown lippie wardrobe. Vastly useful and flattering. Plus the added bonus of the texture and feel of BB lippies is above average. They feel like a lippie version of Stila Eyeshadows. They apply velvety smooth and rich on the lips.

The Bobbi Brown Nude Palette retails for $60 and is limited edition. You know the drill.

I'm reminded of a time I went to the inimitably great Kiki & Herb's Christmas show in NYC. Late in the performance, Kiki (the glorious drag persona of Justin Bond) noticed she needed a reapply, so she called out to the audience for some lipstick. Some young lady in the front handed up a Bobbi Brown tube and I felt wrenched. Kiki stood there staring at the stuff and read from the bottom: "Beige. Not what I would have chosen myself, but thank you, darling."

I saw the palette in person last night, and I thought that some of the lippies were a little too red for me. Could you comment? I only saw the used tester, it definitely looks different when it's new. It also sounds like you only liked one of the lipcolors.

I was also annoyed because the SA was helping a girl who was trying to decide between two face creams, and I was waiting for about 10 minutes. I finally just left, I can only stare at a pretty palette for only so long!

Jolene: Not red at all. I know they look reddish in the picture but they are pure 100% brown.

Can't do nude: white/grey hair, black eyebrows and blue/red skin (according to Prescriptives). Look horrible in beiges. Shame, I like the look of those palettes.

Bobbi Brown does it better season after season after season. What she does is make us look better while still looking very much like ourselves. Friends say, "You look fabulous!" Not, "Are you wearing a new blush?" Simply, "You look great!"
What Bobbi does this spring is offer a Nude Collection with, as she says, "Natural colors I see in people's faces." How true! Your look is enhanced, vibrant, alive, yet there is positively nothing made up about your appearance.
One of my absolute must-haves is Bobbi's Limited Edition Nude Lip and Eye Palette in her slim double drawer mirrored signature case. The shades are subtle yet gorgeous with perfectly paired eye and lip colors. The case holds Buff Shimmer Walsh Eye Shadow, Nude Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Bare Eye Shadow, and Naked Eye Shadow. What works well for me is to cover the entire lid with Bone Eye Shadow.
The lip colors are both luscious and lasting. From among Bare, Beige, Brownie Pink, and Cocoa I love the effect of Bare for my lips and Buff Shimmer Wash Shadow or Brownie Pink paired with the Nude Shimmer Wash Shadow.
The possibilities are endless and you can't go wrong as all the colors are compatible.
Of course, Bobbi misses nothing so she includes an Eye Shadow Brush and a capped Lip Brush in the compact. Mother Nature is coloring everything for summer and Bobbi's taking care of me!
