Blogdorf Goodman's Holiday Gift Ideas: Estee Lauder Solids

I was able to check out some of the holiday offerings from the Estee Lauder counter at Bergdorf Goodman. I was instantly smitten with the Russia-inspired nesting doll and catherdral square. Lauder solid perfume compacts are like tiny pieces of art with a perfume goodie inside. Prices vary from $250 to $350.
Contact Donna Muzio at Bergdorf Goodman at 212-872-2741 or 2788 for more information or if any of these pieces catch your eye.

I usually love Estee Lauder stuff but i think these look really cheap and tacky (and not in a good way!)

I'll have to go with "cheap and tacky" as well - they just don't look very well made and they remind me of stuff one would buy in a $1 Chinatown store...

These compacts are absolutely beautiful, it's a massive shame I don't live anywhere near where they sell these, In the U.K it's almost impossible to find them, I collect compacts and my current uni project is based on them so thanks for the inspiration!
Great blog

Those Nesting Dolls caught my eye right away too. What a beautiful collectors item - I might be adding thee to my wish list (that just keeps growing, and growing, and growing!).

Green Eye and Gauss: I can vouch that these pieces are lovely in person. The cathedral is the show stopper. I used a flash to get the colors to pop...so it might have photographed harshly.
