Pop Gloss
Everyone needs a thrill.......(not a review)
Givenchy Pop Gloss Crystals are lippies that actually stopped me in my tracks in a NYC Sephora store. They were located on a bottom shelf but the glittery goodness and overall weirdness caught my eye.
They looked like MAC dazzleglasses on acid. Before you bum rush the Sephora website, I have to inform you that the sparkle power is low wattage. It looks like it is going to be a disco party on your lips, but it is a very sheer pigment gloss with a shimmer promise that is never fulfilled.
Having said that....these lip glosses were still very cool.
They contain some moisturizing ingredients such as Castor oil, something called Pulp Shine Complex, Pulp'up(according to the Sephora website this is a biomimetic tripeptide developed by Givenchy to stimulate synthesis collagen) and Vitalip. This last ingredient acts a scrub to remove dead skin cells. This could be foreshadowing for a lip disaster.
Glitter Parm #413 is a sheer purple with blue glitter. In the tube it looks like it glows in the dark.
Glitter Pink #515 is a sheer salmon with gold green glitter
Glitter Pomelo #416 is a fruit pink with purple shimmer
Glitter Orange #414 is a sheer orange with gold green glitter
These retail for $23.50 and are available at Sephora.com
I was unable to see many of the shades in person.
Let us know what colors are worth checking out and how the formula stands up during the course of a day.

Have you ever tried YSL Golden Gloss?? That is my fav.
I actually just picked up Parm the other day! I love the formula (smooth and not at all sticky) and the staying power is above average but not amazing.
The lower concentration of shimmer is actually what attracted me to it in the first place, since I'm not normally in to glitter on my lips. It's like the more subtle, office friendly version of Dazzleglasses. Parm works well on its own on my pigmented lips. Layering over lipstick gives a nice full shine with a bit of sparkle that catches the light without being SPARKLE, if you know what I mean. You can also layer it over another shimmering gloss to add dimension and make your lips pop.
So, if you're in to Dazzleglasses I can see why you'd probably be disappointed by these, but if you prefer a softer effect they're great!
