Day 4: Lip Plumpers
There are many plumpers that promise bee stung lips. I have tried many but my lips barely twitch and the fullness never reaches Jolie status. The only lip plumper that ever felt like it was working was Bare Escentuals Lips Buxom. The sensation feels like you ate a York Peppermint Patty.
It feels like ice. My lips never feel this alive unless they are being kissed or eating Szechuan. My lips do seem to get more pillowy and seem to throb. The formula delivers high shine and moisturizing benefits. It contains a cocktail of antioxidant vitamins A & E to deliver smoothness. I'm not super into plumpers... I always thought they were kinda gimmicky. That said, I bought Soap & Glory's Sexy MotherPucker on a whim one day, and I actually really like it. I'm not sure if the plumpification is all in my mind, but it makes my lips feel tingly and smooth, if nothing else. Never say never, I guess!

Have you ever tried a lil bit of cinnamon essential oil on your lips as a plumper? It works way better than anything you will ever buy in the store. The crap you buy at the store has just a drop of this essential oil in it, but you can buy a whole vial of it at Whole Foods.

my mother used Avon's lip pumpler and she saw some difference. I'm not sure it they still sell that.
Also, someone mentioned YSL Rouge Personnel being discontinued. It's still being sold in Asia and Latin America, but anyone in US can buy it online at Fragrancex.com and Strawberrynet, as well as other online stores.
I have only tried one lip plumper and that was City Lips. It stung so badly and of course you can't really stop the stinging even when you remove it. That was the beginning (and the end) of my lip plumping experience.
You gals were SO RIGHT about the mac creme sheen glass. I came home with three today -- Ever So Rich, Looks Like Sin (which I'm saving for church on Sunday ;), and Creme Anglaise. Also the lip Spice is Nice partly because the Spice lip liner is my original mac-love product (even though they are much alike). LOVING the 40 Days of Lips!! Molly

The most effective I have used is by gloMinerals. It's not painful and the shades are very pretty.
its not a lip plumper...(at least I don't think so) but Neutrogena's Moisture Shine Lip Soother gives the fun tingly sensation but not a painful version like I found with the buxom gloss and tastes like peach rings.
Is Soap and Glory sold at Target? I think I have spotted the line somewhere....
