Day 16: Lipstick vs Lip Gloss
I have discovered during this project that I own more lip glosses than lipstick. However, that gap might be closing in soon. The economic crisis keeps getting worse and the end just seems so far away. My own job status is murky with the mayor discussing layoffs and 10% salary cuts. I find that my lipstick purchasing is on the rise. I am finding comfort in those little tubes of pigment.
Do you own more lipsticks or more lip glosses?
How many lippies do you own?

I own about 60 lipsticks. I tend to completely use up lip gloss, whereas lipsticks I re-apply less frequently and want a larger variety of colors. I have always been addicted to lipsticks, even before I started wearing full face makeup.
glosses definately. I only own about 8 lipsticks while I would place my gloss count at about 25. :)
My lipstick count is over 100 and beyond that I am afraid to count and have an actual number!
I find that I have cut back my makeup allowance but I haven't given up my makeup purchasing altogether.
I love makeup and get a real lift out of a new find and in these gloomy economic times a little lift is needed.
Probably about 50/50. I recently bought new containers (Container Store) and I thought that I had about 65 tubes but I think I have closer to 85 (maybe 100). I was on a road trip with girls who were STUNNED to hear that anyone would own more than three. They knew I was a beautyphile but clearly had no idea. They had to admit, though, that throughout the weekend my lips were a lovely compliment to every outfit and occasion! (As it should be.)
Sorry to hear that the job sitch is looking murkey -- I'm in government where I work (used to be in politics, too) and it's a tough time to be in government that's for sure. Molly
I own way more lipsticks. I prefer pigment to shine though... And no, I have absolutley no desire to count them!

I have a pretty even amount of lipsticks and glosses, although I am buying more lipsticks. The non-stick factor has a lot to do with it. But glosses make my lips look more lush. Hmmmm
I own many more lip glosses, but find myself reaching for lipstick each morning.

Oh, my, you want me to count my lipsticks? I'm sooo afraid of that...
I have 60+ lipsticks. I did have to get rid of some that were rancid tasting. I've loved lipstick since I can remember. My Mom wore it every day of her life. After she brushed her teeth, out came her lipstick. I always had a lipstick mark on my face as soon as I got up. I have about 20+ lipglosses. I adore lipstick and can't understand anyone who would own a couple.
