Hello Again
I want to thank my readers and dear friends for being so patient with me.
It has been a rough couple of months.
During my exile...I fell in love with some beauty products. I fell hard for Bond 9's Washington Square. The tarragon note is mind blowing.
I can not get enough.
It is all about tarragon in 2010.
I am a recent convert to the joys of Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse Ultra Hydrating Cream Whipped Foundation. I think we can all agree that MUA's Cavewoman/Patti is always right. I hated Maybelline's Falsies mascara with the fiery passion of a thousand burning suns. Did anyone else experience serious flaking?
I did partake in the beautyhabit sale. Many thanks to Oprah for enabling my fragrance addiction. I replenished my bottles of Bois de Paradis and Sacrebleu.
I am praying that Barneys has some type of sale or promotion soon. My Frederic Malle collection has been wiped out by....overuse.
It is killing me to not have Carnal Flower at my beck and call.

I'm so glad you got to try the new Maybelline Smooth Mousse! It is superb! I'm backing mine up every time I see a sale! I disagree that I'm always right, but when I am right I'm really really right! LOL!
And I totally agree about Falsies mascara. I gave it one more try before I tossed it.

Jessica: I love a good foundation hunt! I rec this new Maybelline, Armani(very sheer but lovely), Chantecaille Future Skin and of course....La Mer. Jglowbunny tested and loved the new Edward Bess foundation.
Not sure when it is available. You know Mr Bess...only does extraordinary things.
I saw the swatches of Jeans Queen. I thought it look perfect and lemming worthy.

I am not much for foundation, but with these raves, I will have to try the Maybelline.
I am currently considering Jo Malone's Blue Agava-- most of her fragrances fade on me, even when layered, but this one is interesting, and sees to have some lasting power.
I am so ready for FALL then again I'm in SF we never have summers - except for today's record breaking 90 degree weather - YAY!!
I am looking forward to my trip to NYC next month for my birthday. I'll be at the P&J and EB counters at Bergdorf's stocking up!

I am lemming Bois de Paradis! and Opus 1...I'm afraid to try the other 2 in case I like them also. Jessica...what's III like? lol! Just have to ask! I also thought Jeans Queen looked like it would be good.
I still want a Guerlain palette. And I need to take a serious look at Chanels 3 new khaki polishes when they come out!

Which Armani foundation are you referring to? I simply can't live without Luminous Silk foundation.
Right now I'm really in love with the brand Jouer's cream highlighter and cream eyeshadow. I'm also in love with my Inoui eyebrow pencil that someone brought back from Japan for me. It has the finest tip I've ever seen on an automatic pencil. Perfect to draw in fine hairs.
I'm sorry to hear that you've had a hard time. This too shall pass.

I have missed you! I just got a Burberry lipstick, eyeshadow and pencil. The eye pencil is a grey-green -blackish color , soft and has a few sparkles. I LOVE IT. The rosewood eye enhancer is awesome and the lipstick -heather rose is my new favorite lipstick.

My Chanel S/A says a few more weeks but Saks has it on line. Tempted to order but I am very fussy about texture. If you know anything , let us all know. You know me- I have so many new loves. I can't get enough LMdB- tinted moisturizer, eye shadows, blushes... It ever ends. And then there are all the gorgeous fall collections with Guerlain leading.
The Oprah sale left me with some Diptyque and Parfum d'Empire bottles. Of course, now I'm kicking myself for not buying more.
The most important question, though, is when are you coming to NYC? I'd be beyond thrilled to go shopping with you and Jessica.
Patti was also right about the Trop*a*Rocka.

I was ready for fall over a month ago and picked up Fresh's Sugar Plum balm (gorgeously pigmented, unlike Sugar Rose). But now I'm dying over MAC Viva Glam Gaga lipstick and it's sent me straight into a snowbunny wonderland. I never would have thought a hint of lavender would be flattering, it makes me wonder what I missed out on with Lavender Whip.

My current fave nail polish is Butter London Victoriana, the shade is the same Victorian blue as the dress of Rossetti's Proserpine.

What is on my fall list- The new Bond 9 Saks en Rose for one. Finally tried it and I love it. Plus a couple Heeley scents. All the above are naturally very exp. Im with you on a Barneys sale. That's who has Heeley and those FMs of course.
Oh and the Burberry double breasted military sort of style coat. Cause I dream big :))

I've been told that I simply must sniff Washington Square - and your description of it encourages me even more. Although it's rare that I don't like a Bond release.
And I'm with you on the Malle situation - my Carnal Flower is pretty much gone and I have been absolutely obsessed with Lipstick Rose since I smelled it. I don't know that I will actually wear it, I just want to own it and sniff it whenever I need it.

My fall lemmings are from the MAC Venemous Villains collection - I'm a huuuge Disney fan (I'm still determined to one day voice a Disney princess :P) and Cruella's Red lipstick is calling my name!
I'm also dying for a new fall wardrobe after losing 15 pounds over the summer! :)

There's a new Maybelline Smooth Mousse! Is it even better than the Dream Mousse? Must try it.
OMG! I hate Maybelline Falsies with a passion. I also threw it out. It was terrible, terrible stuff and I can't believe it was sold out everywhere!
My current beauty obsessions: purple lipstick, shimmery cool taupe eyeshadow, and cardamom/chai fragrances.
