I want to be in London! Here is some of who will be playing at Live 8 in London:Paul McCartney,The Killers,The Cure,Snow Patrol(*this kills me*),Muse,Dido,U2 and Sting. Who does Philly have? The only worthwhile ones so far are...Jay Z and Mr Stevie Wonder. I hope they give us the stones to make up for the fact that the US lineup sucks. I apologize to fans of Dave Matthews and Bon Jovi. I am just a bitter music snob. Tonight I just want to say how much I love Bob Geldof. He is my personal hero.

Today on yahoo news I read that Sir Bob Geldof has organized a secret Live Aid concert on July 2nd 2005 at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway(Philly) and in London. There will be a press conference on Tuesday to release the details. I watched this all day on MTV back in 1985. I remember how I watched to see my crushes Duran Duran but was blown away by U2 and Bowie. Today I will listen to my mixed tape of Boomtown Rats and Ultravox in Sir Geldofs honor. Have a great Memorial Day!

Next month production is scheduled to begin on a biopic on Ian Curtis. The director is Anton Corbijn(he directed the video Atmosphere and did press shots for Joy Division) and it is based on the book "Touching from a distance" by his wife. No word on who is playing him. Today I am playing Joy Division and New Order(the new CD) in his honor.

On June 9th the cast of the Breakfast Club will be on the MTV Movie Awards. There is no final committment from Mr Estevez but everyone else will be there. A band called Yellowcard will be performing the theme song. NIN will also be a musical guest. I will be watching this year! I just recently re-watched the Breakfast Club when I visited Mary's friend Jane. I forgot how good it was. We were so lucky to have these great movies being made while we were growing up. I loved Sixteen Candles, Better off Dead, Some Kind of Wonderful, Pretty in Pink, Say Anything and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I consider myself very lucky to have grown up with these movies.
