The lemming was offically killed on August 14th 2005. The moment I found out that the inside lining was made from canvas...the lust died. We had a good ride...me and the paddy. I am now moving on to high end purses that are beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

I admit I am relieved to hear this. That bag is not worthy of your desire. There are so many other great bags to love out there! And I feel certain that it won't be long until you find the one worthy of your desire!
The Paddy is WAY to heavy.
Canvas lining? That on top of the ten ton padlock is a real lemming slayer.
What's the matter with bag manufacturers? You can't charge over $1,000 for a bag that isn't lined in leather or suede. Boo.
ITA, Tania. I have a vintage Gucci that has a lining that I swear is more beautiful even than the bag's exterior.
Annie - the next time you go to NYC, you must check out the consignment shop INA. It is where I got my vintage Gucci. They have some great bags. The prices are not rock-bottom but they are still much better than the usual. I once saw a black Birkin there for about $2500 - a steal compared to the list price, and it was in mint condition.
I agree so strongly with tbone. I was actually ticked off by the lining. If Marc Jacobs can put a seude lining in his bags...then phoebe can do it in hers.
I would LOVE to go to that vintage store F.
ACK--I hate to admit it, but my Marc Jacobs Large Multi Pocket bags both have canvas lining.
