My latest purchase. She is just lovely. The notes are roses, jasmine, violets, musk and amber. There might be just a dash of vanilla.
Here is the description from lancome.com:
Magic of a première evening. The divine actress has just left the stage, her arms laden with roses. In a corner of her dressing room is a vase overflowing with bunches of jasmine. Sublime, in a dress designed for her by the leading Couturier, she is looking at herself absent-mindedly in a large mirror, when she sees a posy of violets on her dressing table. Touched, she presses this anonymous tribute against her heart, then goes out, leaving a scented trail of musk and amber.

Oh that sounds divine! One that I need to test for sure!
Congrats to you, it sounds wonderful :-)
Lucky!!! How does it compare to it's still kicking around sequel Magie Noire? Gah! I need to see if my counter has this in yet.
Katie, it is nothing like the patchouli-prominent Magie Noir (lovely to be sure!) -- I don't get any connection between the two.
Hope you get to try this soon!
Annie, this smelled so divine on you! Clearly the best of the three we were able to try. I feel myself caving!
ahhh, my fellow rose-lover. Sounds wonderful. xoxo
Ahhhh...I smelled the 3 of the new/old ones about a month ago and had every intention of getting one of them, but I forgot. Thanks for the reminder. I hope you are enjoying your new find.
katiedid: 1000 times better. Less patch and more roses. Great amber base. It has a great drydown and staying power is impressive. I also liked the climat. It just did not wow me like magie.
Everyone: It is worthy of a sniff. I bought mine at Nordstorm for around $100. They also have a great set of all four of the scents for around $175. I forgot to mention how great the bottle is. Very chanel-ish. Beautiful.
