Last night I was watching "That's Entertainment III" and they were showing Fred's "Drum Crazy" number from Easter Parade, which is just superb. I just never tire of him, ever. When Barishnikov would say Astaire was his favorite dancer some snobs would sniff that they didn't believe it, but I totally do.
Who else can rock some white patent leather slip ons like Frankie? I love him, and I love a man who loves animals.
What an adorable photo. I agree with F--why wouldn't Barishnikov name Astaire as his favorite dancer? Completely conceivable. He was divine and just seeing him walk across the screen makes me say to myself, "now that is a graceful, elegant man."
