You are not the only one. She is in everyone's best dressed list. I am on the fence. I tried to sleep on it. It is a lovely dress that reminded me of a great Galliano gown. Do you remember when Linda Evangelista wore that amazing lemon tulle Dior on the cover of HB? That is one of my favorite gowns of all time. This dress reminds me of that. It is the color that I am struggling with. I grew up during the 1980's neon days. The color did look amazing on the red carpet,it photographed very well and she was the only one that took a chance with color.
She carries off this color perfectly. On a blonde it would have been a disaster. I remember the Evangelista cover! This dress has a beautiful shape and silhouette, and the bodice is perfectly crafted.
Please forgive me, dear Patti, for disagreeing with you just this once -- but I honestly think the cut of the dress is a snooze, nothing special or daring at all, and the color is sheer horror. The whole effect is simpering. (Please don't hate me. I admit, I just don't like the woman.)
