La Dulicnea from the blog Shangri Law invited me to join the carnivale of couture posts that are taking place on various fashion blogs. This was a challenge because the question was:

You are stranded at a lifelong party on La Isla Superfantastica. What are the fashion items you can not live without?

So the first challenge for me is island wear. I am from the arctic state of Ohio. My winters do end until June. There is a beach...on Lake Erie.
I do not know who makes the best flip flops or what is the highest SPF sunscreen.
I can tell you who makes a good winter coat, what is a good feature in a glove and how to get salt off your shoes.

I guess every stranded gal needs a good gown. I would go for something sexy like Ginger. My pick would be a purple gown by Sophia Kokosalaki. It was featured in the Kate Moss editorial in W this month.

Instead of the fab shoes....I would wear flip flops.
I will have to be practical.
I hear sand is brutal.

I would wear tropical flowers in my hair. It always looks lovely. Hopefully there are no man eating insects on the island so I can actually wear perfume. I would bring Monyette Paris and Ormonde by Ormonde Jayne. I know Serge Luten's Datura Noir would be a better choice but Ormonde has always brought me luck.

For makeup I would bring only my new MAC gloss called Dusk. It is perfect for day and night. It is from the new Catherine Deneuve Icon collection.

Thanks to Shangri Law and the other bloggers for letting me participate.
It was fun!

ANNIE-- I am freaking out! I am leaving for an island next week and the fragrances I chose to take are Monyette, and OJ Frangipane--great minds think alike! I am rather surprised you would not take La Base though.

The dress you chose is perfect, and as always the photo you used to accompany your post is hilarious!

La Base is lovely but not very tropical. I thought Child would be another excellent fragrance to take.

Have fun in the sun P!
