I'm not sure I like this baby-ish style. Are we going back to the child-woman, flat-chested, hipless, boy-shaped model bodies? I don't like the fact that this appears to be a twelve year old girl in couture. Maybe it's just me.
Patti, I find the dress absolutely beautiful but as a work of art in a fashion show, not as a real piece of clothing someone might buy, so I completely see your point. I don't believe this is the way most women or even girls want to look. If I saw it coming down a church aisle instead of a fashion runway I would probably faint.
Addict, I think Lily Cole is extraordinary looking, like a modern-day Penelope Tree, but her looks are way offbeat. It will be interesting to see whether she has a big career, or if she's more like Devon Aoki. I remember Aoki was bloody EVERYWHERE the first few seasons she was working, then much less so. My theory was that she was so distinctive it was easier to get tired of her.
Yes, I can appreciate the workmanship, the fabrics, and the design elements for runway, but I just look at this and see "Christening gown" all over it!

OMG, Patti, you are right. That is precisely the vibe, so much so that it must be what he had in mind.
*a little creeped out now*
Patti: You nailed it!
*shudders with F*
