A glass (or five) of good bourgogne blanc; shopping at the Neiman Marucs that is conveniently on the way home from my office in NJ, where I work occasionally and where bad weeks often start; manicures; the Diptyque Pomander candle; my bed.
Not necessarily in that order. or concurrently, for that matter.
I just stepped outside tonight, and as saw as I saw that big, full moon (with Jupiter on the side) the first thought I had on my head was, "Wow, no wonder we were all having a crazy week!"
What got me through today: Tryptophan - from all the turkey I've been eating since breakfast. What got me through the rest of this week: laughter, prayer, home-cooked food, writing (on and off-line) - and more dark chocolate.
What gets me through a bad week? I have my "comfort" scents like Ines de la Fressange and Alchimie de Rochas. Both are elegant but somehow also feel like a favorite soft old sweater at the same time.
Also hangin' with my cats, and reading perfume blogs - and the occasional cocktail or glass of wine. Weather permitting, coming home from work and puttering in the garden.
Hi KG! Patti just bought her mom Flowerbomb for mothers day. Sean from Saks hand painted the bottle for her.
Tbone: )))T((( I think pasta can make anything better. Also whiskey sours.
EB: I loved the ad too. That is the way I look at my Pottle bottle. With love and worship.
BeautyA: LOL! I get a weekly manicure. It does not relax me but I get good gossip. I also get to drool over the OPI & Zoya catalogs.
Peej: I just received the WWD Beauty Biz mag...lets just say it is beyond damn good. This is what I want to get in my mailbox every month.
meimei: It really looks like we all had a crazy awful week. I am glad it is over. I just had some great lasagna from cavewoman. Home cooked meals are the best!!!
Patti: That is the way I feel about Pottle. It just lifts me up. Very comforting like a perfume blanket.
Flora: Nothing like cuddling cats and reading the perfume blogs! I miss puttering around in the garden. It was a great stress reliever.
Mel: When I do get my as* to Chicago...we will get pumpkin pedis. That is a must. Along with the flea. BTW: Any finds?

Hi annie!
Flowerbomb. Love it, love it, love it!
I had one hell of a week. What got me through it? Sudafed. Besides Sudafed? I'll get back to you on that.
Sometimes beer. And food.
Great ad.
Fine chocolate can always be depended on - has to be very dark though - 70% cocoa at least. A bar of that is better than Rodrigo Santoro in my bed.

Vodka...lots and lots of vodka.
Just kidding....hot baths, fashion mags, perfume, and a massage.
Oh and laughter...lots of laughter!

Soaking myself in Deneuve usually does the trick.

My Grapefruit and Lime Shea Butter. The scent alone brings back memories of childhood summers and crushes on boys...
EB... I like that Annie- it makes me think of Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice.
Also wanted to add Body Shop mango body butter to the list. Mmmmmmm.
MMM I love POTL. What gets me through? Chardonnay & looking forward to fun weekend plans. When that fails, yoga.
beautychick: I should take up yoga. Love reislings.
pattyg: Which fragrance do you reach for on those stressful days?
EB: Love body butters!!!! I used to love the nut butter before they tinkered with it.
