I stumbled across this store by accident with the cavewoman. It was just plain old good luck.
I first heard about the store from Beth at Just My Cup of Tea. I could not believe something that adorable could be in Cleveland.

The Goodyear Airship hangar in Akron, Ohio is the world's largest building without internal supports.
With 55 million cubic feet of air, it is so large that it can create its own weather.
During sudden temperature changes clouds form in the top of the structure creating rain.
I think this might be the coolest kid in Cleveland right now.

I am not from Ohio, but I know the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland, that the Cleveland Indians used to beat the Oakland A's all the time for reasons unknown to me when I was a kid and really into the A's, that Shaker Heights has fine schools, that the main drugstore in the hamlet of Bazeta, outside of Cortland, near Youngstown, stocks absolutely zero facial powders in colors that suit me, that Dillard's in Cleveland has a nice selection of winter coats, that Ohio is known as the Buckeye State, and that a disproportionate number of US presidents and my friends hail from it.
As Annie has mentioned before, I will be an Ohio girl very soon... in about... 13 days! And being the nerd that I am, I've been reading about all sorts of Clevelander facts since I learned I'd be moving there, so that I know something about my new home, and I'm addicted to the clevelandfacts blog too! I'm so thrilled to be moving to fun place with fun people... it's triply confirmed whenever I read about the wonderful shopping trips the Ohio gals have!
Unfortunately, I'll probably not make too many new friends when I wear my pink White Sox World Series cap in front of Jacobs Field... ;-)
North Jersey here (more than enough jokes about Joisey, still it's a wonderful place to live), but my best friend lived in Columbus for several years and she managed to find some great vegetarian restaurants in the area.
Tania! You have been to Bazetta? I am stunned! How did a city girl like you end up out in the middle of Nowhere, Ohio? I know the area very well. Used to take my Maine Coon to a vet in Cortland. He looked like Robert Redford.

I'm from (and, er, still live in) SE Ohio - Dayton area, specifically! Nearby Yellow Springs is home to Dave Chapelle and John Legend!
I'm from Texas, but here are some random Ohio things I know: One of my favorite bands, The Afghan Whigs, formed at the university of Cincinnati; the minister who married me and my husband, Mittie Jordan, is from Cleveland, and she owns a cafe and bookstore there called Deuteronomy 8:3 Cafe; one of my creative writing professors, Lee Martin, who was recently a finalist for the Pultzer Prize in Literature, now teaches at Ohio State. And finally, I always liked the REM song Cuyahoga, off my favorite album of theirs, Life's Rich Pageant. More personal connections than facts, I guess, but still fun thinking these up...(:
umm, I lived in Dayton for four years ... near Wright Patterson ... where I think there is an aircraft museum ... I've been to Cincinnati, where the Reds are from ... ummm, I think Ohio hides its light under a bushelbasket (sp) which is something we all should do sometimes. Is this acceptable? xoxo ♥

Nonblonde: I love Columbus. There used to be great vintage shopping there.
Corinne: I visited the area last year and loved it. My friends have a great Chapelle sighting story that cracks me up. I am hoping to visit again in the fall. There is something so peaceful about that area. We also visited downtown Xenia. There was a very nice restaurant down there. Great for lunch.
greeneyes: Life is a Rich Pageant is the best REM album. Hands down. At one time Northeast Ohio had a great local music scene. I was lucky to see some of it.
I've been to Ohio once... I didn't like it. Sorry... I am a California girl through and through!

Sorry, native New Yorker. I've been to Ohio once, though. My flight got delayed and I ended up spending 8 hours in Philly waiting for a plane to Columbus. So, other than that, "there's nothing wrong with Ohio...except the snow and the rain:)"
I *think* I've been to Ohio once. But we were camping all across Canada & the States, and I was 12, so it's all a bit muddy.
But the one thing that I will always remember about Ohio is this riddle:
Q: What's round at both ends, tall in the middle, and friendly all the way through?
A: Ohio!

Jana: The weather is crazy in Ohio. It can be 90 degrees one day and then drop 50 degrees by the next morning. It has snowed in May. We have twisters, floods and earthquakes.

I live in ytown where it is not as friendly as the rest of the state. We are tough as nails.

I know lots about Ohio...too much in fact. I lived there from age 5 to 22. I escaped to Columbus from Canton to attend Ohio State. Love the blog!
I do know that Ohio has Skyline chili; which is the best chili in the whole world. and cincinnati is very hilly.
Ok, as you know I'm from Ohio, but I escaped to California. I was born and raised in Athens, home of Ohio University. Which was founded in 1803. Athens is a very popular college town probably because of all the bars downtown! LOL. Dean Martin was born in Stubenville which is just a few miles away. And part of American Graffiti, the drive-in was filmed in Nelsonville also just a few miles away. Circleville is the home to the country's largest Pumpkin Festival each year. That's all I can think of right now. I miss the change of seasons and the genuine, friendly, open, honesty of the people there.

Sweetie, I grew up in Akron, within walking distance of the Goodyear airship hangar! Also nearby is 'Derby Downs', home of the world-famous Soap Box Derby. I'm an alum of Ohio University, the first institution of higher education in the former Northwest Territory (and sometimes known tongue-in-cheek as "Harvard on the Hocking", LOL). After college, I worked in Twinsburg, home of the annual International Twins Festival, where identical sibs from all over the world gather each year to celebrate their twinship.
I could go on and on. After 20 years away, still feel nostalgic about Ohio - what a great place to grow up.
