On the set Between Friends all extras were instructed to wear a "neutral sort of flesh colored lipstick" but when a makeup man applied a red lipstick to one red-headed extra, an authority on the set hollered: "Get it off her, nobody but Elizabeth wears red."
C David Heymann also recounts how, during the filming of Cleopatra, Liz insisted on wearing makeup for every scene, even if she was told she didn't need it. One top crew member reported walking into her dressing room, where "she had her mouth open and was even dabbing powder on the roof of her mouth. "What are you doing?" Today I am wearing one of my holy grail products: B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful's lip colour cream in Blast. It's a perfect neutral rose with a creamy, long-lasting consistency, and it's packaged in a sparkly little heart-shaped tin. I just love it.

Checking in with my L'Oréal HIP gloss in Dreamer. Smells great, looks great, a little sticky but it stays on. Highly pigmented neutral pink with a little shimmer. A good everyday gloss. And I like this tube applicator — I love Chanel, but wands are gross.

Hello...Bobbi Brown Ruby. I love the texture of this, very hydrating. It's a true ruby color that doesn't go rusty or pink.
Tania (or should I call you Tbone?) - That L'Oreal HIP line is crazy addictive! I am planning to stock up on more of their eyeshadows and glosses as soon as I come back to the States. I would've purchased Dreamer if it wasn't for the fact that I already have too many shades like it! In honor of this revelation, I will be wearing the HIP gloss in Gallant (a dark red/burgundy shade), using Smith's Rosebud Salve as a base.
Here's a tip I learned from Allure - when you put a gloss on top of something waxy, like lipstick or balm, the color tends to stay longer. This helps me with the HIP gloss, since it's super sticky going on and tends to fade on me when I put it on bare lips.
I wore an old Estee Lauder lipliner pencil in Sunlit Red, with Chanel Pretty lipstick. No gloss!
