Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick. Gwyneth PaltrowMAC's Powerhouse(edited: Thanks Mar!), Lancome's Behnaz and Armani's Hollywood Red.
Run and grab MAC's Powerhouse before it disappears from the counters. It is the best match so far to Lancome's Behnaz.
It is also offically discontinued.

is it a blue red or does it appear more orange? i usually go for blue reds but you've been gushing so much about your original lipstick that i'm curious.
I don't understand why great lipsticks and perfumes are always discotinued. They may not make a huge profit off of them and I know that the bottom line is always $$, but they should keep the greats on just because they're great and reflect the greatness of the brand.
Plainly, when a company comes out with an absolutely perfect product, hailed as the HG for all, it must be discontinued immediately, for the beauty business depends on our nagging dissatisfactions to send us buying new things in the hopes that they will be perfect. Only by keeping us in a chronic state of disappointment can they achieve ever-growing profits by almost, but not quite, satisfying us in dozens of different ways. So goes my paranoid Theory of Discontinuation.

It is so close to Behnaz. The powerhouse & Armani lippies are actually cavewomans. She brought them so we could do testing. When we visit Cleveland we always bring things to test. The table is usally littered with makeup and fragrance samples.
anon: It is a true poppy color. It is not a true blue red...but it leans in that direction more so than orange or brown. It is unique.

tbone: You nailed it quite beautifully. I think Lancome achieved perfection with this Behnaz...and it should be brought back. I will do a post on when the Alesha showed my behnaz tube to the Lancome counter SA's. They went nuts...like they were seeing a rockstar. There was screaming and a ruckus.

I just bought Powerhouse at my local MAC PRO counter & it is indeed a fantastic color! They told me that they usually keep the discontinued colors in stock. So check out the MAC PRO stores.
