Wet n Wild Mega Slicks Sheer Coral Lip Gloss
Drugstore LipGloss Find:
This gloss is called Mega Slicks by Wet n Wild.
The color is called Sheer Coral #575.
Oh...they were not fibbing.
This is the sheerest of the sheer.
This gave me no color whatsoever.
In the tube it is a lovely apricot shade with opal shimmer.
On the lips it just did not register. There was a little shimmer to it but nothing worthwhile.
The formula is what really turned me off. It was gritty and left a mess on my lips.
Sometimes I do not mind a mess if the color is magnificent.
This little tube had nothing going for it but its amazing price.
Tell me the last product you were disappointed in and why.
Feel free to diss something I love.
I *think* I can take it.

Honestly? I tried the BB Gold shimmerbrick everyone and their swapbuddy on MUA swore was the second coming.
But on me, it's just blah. I'm afraid of telling anyone for fear it's *me* and not the shimmerbrick.
Maybelline Great Lash. So overhyped, how does this keep winning magazine awards? Smudgy, gross, yuck. Nooo thanks!
Agreed with Maybeline Great Lash. Eugh! My lashes never looked more horrible when I used that stuff!!
L'oreal Colour Juice Sticks.
Yucky smell (and I never, ever complain about smell), so so texture, not enough tint and stayed on for all of a minute.
I read so many good reviews on these and then was completely bummed out by its suckitude.
I bought the rimmel gloss that you suggested, and I love it! They are having a buy one get one free sale this week at Walgreens on Rimmel. Thanks for the tip!
Benefit eyeshadows in general. I'd tried one that was blue (can't remember the name now) but forgave my disappointment because blue shadows are really hit or miss in texture, even when like in this case the color is good. But I've since tried some of the more neutral ones, and while they're certainly not bad, you can totally get better ones for the price. Such a shame, because I genrally have really loved a ton of the other Benefit stuff I've tried.
My biggest disappointment is in the disapperance of the Versace Beaute line of cosmetics in the US, though. They made my holy grail pink blush, AND my favorite loose powder AND my holy grail red lipstick AND my favorite blush brush... Sigh. I guess it's true what they say, only the good (cosmetics) die young :(
I hate L'Oreal Color Juice glosses, Lancome lipsticks, Dior glosses- all because of the smell and/or texture. Also hated NARS Orgasm. Makes me feel like I'm crazy on MUA!
I hated the texture of Bourjois lipgloss, doesn't stay on and its hell to apply.
My all time favorite drugstore lipgloss is Revlon, they have great colors and a nice texture and staying power.
Benvenuta: I love the glosses. I have several. I love their gold shimmery shade. It rivals all the high ends including me beloved YSL Gold glosses.
I like the idea of gabbing about blushes. It is the one product I often ignore.
Excellent idea!
Gina: I generally ignore Bobbi Brown because we have the WORST counters in my area. I have never had a pleasant experience at their counters. In fact I have stood at the counter with a credit card in my hand...and have been ignored. This has happened several times at my Nordstorm counter.
Can you tell that I am bitter?
LOL
To get back to what you are saying...I think the shimmerbricks are over hyped. That is not the bitterness talking either. They have never moved me. I prefer the Guerlain meteorites.
Allison & Tanya: I agree!!!!!!!!!!
I think it is some type of makeup industry mafia that keeps getting it raves.
Sheila: I love the term suckitude. I have never tried these. Are these the little lippie pots with brightly colored product?
Crystal: Where have you been???
)))C(((
I am very glad that you are back!!!
I am also glad that one of my picks have been successful. Rimmel makes great products. Nothing I have tried...has sucked yet.
Katie: Cavewoman loved Versace skincare. We stumbled across some in our local TJ Maxx. It was a great find.
I do not like Benefit shadows either but I love their shimmer powder dust. They have the best shimmer.
Mar: Orgasm is hard to wear. I bought my skunk brush so I would not over apply it.
The only Lancome lipstick I own is actually the Behnaz. This formula and the color are pretty magnificent. Lets hope they release more of these in the future.
Angie: I love the Revlon ColorStay lipsticks. That is a great formula!!!!
