RIP Prada
These are the Prada shoes that got away.
Last week I stumbled across these beauties at the Cleveland TJ Maxx. The shoes were a tad too big but I did not care. I was going to "make them work".
I could not.
So they went back.
It killed me but made my credit card a smidge lighter.
So I am asking for a moment of silence...for what could have been.
Tell me if you ever left something behind in a store that you regretted. Does it haunt your dreams? Have you ever gotten over it? Are you still kicking yourself?
Mine: The kelly green Marc Jacobs Multi-Pocket bag at Nordstorm. I was a damn fool and often think of what life would be like with that happy cheerful handbag.
Especially... when I wear my kelly green princess coat.
That is when it hurts the most.

Hello,
I am so sorry about these beautiful Prada shoes. I think we've all been there! I've been a fan of this site since I read the article in Allure last August that inspired me to start my own blog here at blogger. I would love your feedback!

I don't think you're ever going to get over that Kelly bag ... *moment of silence* ... I'm sorry, A. May there be another vividly green bag in your future. xoxo
Hi Amanda:
It is a great site! I will add it to my links soon.
M: LOL
You are right. I will never get over that one.
It slays me to think about it.
*reflective moment of silence for the shoes*
Oh yes... I'm still thinking of an adorable little Moschino Cheap & Cheap jacket that I didn't buy from the sale rack at Nordstrom. It had lots of folk-inspired detail, including wooden heart-shaped buttons. *sigh*
Sorry for your loss :'[
Very beautiful shoes, it's a shame they got away!!
Last year when I went to Las Vegas I visited the Caroline Herrera store and was *thisclose* to buying the cutest bag I've ever seen in my entire LIFE. I said "Oh, I'll be back next month, I'll get it then!" (to compensate for the spendage I had already done so far on my trip)
However;
When I returned next month...I returned to the store and the pattern was already put to rest. It sucks even more because I bought the scarf that went with the bag first (mistake #1?) Anyways. I have the catalog that has the bag in it, I still flip it open from time to time and dream about it. I'll have to scan and post a photo about it on my blog soon :-*
BUT what color nail polish is Cavewoman wearing?
Mary! That is Essie Tribeca. It is an odd color in that sometimes it appears brown-plum and sometimes totally cool-plum.
I'm trying to be fashionable despite the fact that I wear my nails way too long to be fashionable.
Which TJ Maxx in Cleveland do you frequent? You always score the most amazing goodies!
I once didn't buy a baby blue burberry trenchcoat marked down at nordstrom in Portland Oregon where I as visiting from $800+ to $180. I had just bought a black trench and thought... "why do i need another" - i called that nordstrom a week later.... gone. so sad. i've since tried to replace it with a pink one. not the same.
