Incense Fragrances

There is something comforting about the smell of incense. I am instantly taken back to catholic grade school. Hiding in the back pews...trying to dodge the nuns.
The nuns always knew when you did wrong.

Notes for Kyoto: Incense, Cypress oil, Coffee, Teak wood, Vetiver, Patchouli, Amber, Everlasting flower, and Virginian cedar.

Notes for Jaisalmer: Cedar, Pimento Berry, Guiaiac Wood, Cinnamon, Ebony, Nutmeg, Pine, and Spices.

What is your favorite incense fragrance?

I know these aren't pure incense, but I consider them incense fragrances (and they are my favorites): Barbara Bui and Creed Angelique Encens. I want to find a CdG Incense Series to love, but I haven't tested all of them thoroughly enough to tell the differences.

My fave incense fragrances, Annie, are Passage d'Enfer, Matthew Williamson Incense (sadly discontinued, but one MUA member scored a beautiful bottle on eBay for $60.! Can you dig it?,)and Annayake Miyako (can be found from rosa5477 on eBay, or is it rosa5466, I can't remember, lol!).

You asked me about the POTL cream. It is absolutely delicious, Annie! Not as much playdoh as there is the hay note and a decadent sandalwood, sugary, creamy base. You just have to get it! :):)

Hugs and love,

Violetnoir

I am such a floral lover that it's hard for me to adapt to strictly-incense fragrances... but I do enjoy wearing Pour Une Femme de Caron, an spicy, incensey rose, in the winter.

Parfum Sacre. I`m just a beginner when it comes to incense. But I want to explore more.

I love the Comme Des Garcons incense series too. Avignon is my favorite!

My priest buddy says that Regina Harris (the original) is as close to real Catholic Church incense as any scent he's ever smelled. I think he secretly wants me to buy it so he can have the bottle!
