You know what I want but can't find? Silver and gold nailpolishes. Nobody seems to make them! Not glitter, but actual silver polish. Haven't been able to find it anywhere. I want it to go with my silvery eye. (from tbone)

But...I am stumped with silver recs.

Since you tracked down Jessica Simpson's red coat, I have a question. I saw "The Holiday" last weekend and have become absolutely obsessed with one of the necklaces Cameron Diaz wears. She wears it tripled, so it must be pretty long. It's a delicate gold chain with itty-bitty heart charms. Can anybody help? from Anon
I have not seen the movie nor can I locate any pictures of Miss Diaz with the necklace. Can anyone help?

Trailer Trash by Hard Candy, if they still make it, was a fabulous true silver polish.
I think tralier trash is listed on Sephora website. was just looking there. HC re released some oldies.
Picked up Chanel Noir ceramic over the weekend, but not sure if it's really for me, and may not keep it. I so didn't need to spend that right before the holidays. but they do have a little left in very south jersey, just in case anyone wanted to know :)

Local drug stores have a lot of silver nail polishes. I saw a silver one by OPI in Duane Reade in NYC. Go to OPI's website they also have a holiday collection w/ silver included.

The noir ceramic is nice on, has med. shimmer, would need 2 coats to get really dark. but it's not as deep as a flat black would be , I think. dark but not super deep black dark. Hope that helps
I've scoured Duane Reades and nail salons in my work and home areas and haven't seen a single silver polish. I'll check the Hard Candy one. NYC readers, which Duane Reades are we talking, here?
Sally Hansen's Chrome line had a real silver polish, it was at Walgreen's and other drugstores. Also what about Essie Silver Bullions?

I got a beautiful classic silver polish from Brucci called Silver Foil. I found it in the DR on 5th Ave. b/w 45th & 44th street. There is only 3 left so go get it! China Glaze has one too called Rainbow, but definitely not as nice as Brucci's. Also, Revlon has a light silver polish called Pure Silver, but again, not as nice as Brucci's in my personal opinion.

Ugh. I've been disgusted by the Hard Candy polishes. I'm just not keen on them for their price. They chip on me only minutes after I put them on. Too bad Urban Decay is getting rid of their polish line... I'd go with checking out the Sally Hansen's too, but sometimes Revlon puts out special Xmas polishes in silver and gold, too, and I've been reasonably happy with theirs.
(You just made me remember how much I miss Versace's metallic polishes!)
