Blessings and strength to your friend. My dogs have always been the world and then some to me. Losing them is so hard. They are the biggest blessings. It is so hard, but eventually you get to a better place. It may take a good long while, and will always hurt, but you get there.
I wish your friend the best and offer my sympathies to her as well. Pets are the best friends there are. Maybe one day she'll share her life again with another wonderful, loving pet.
I lost my 8lb kitty cat, "Kiton" over 10 years ago and I am still heartbroken. I am crying as I write this. She was just an innocent ball of pure love. Learning to love and BE loved is one of life's greatest and simplest joys.
I'm so sorry for your friend who lost her beloved pet. So many of us know how heartbreaking this is. May the memories of all the fun and joy this doggie has brought to her, sustain her throughout her grief.
