My office went nuts for Estee Lauder's Beautiful Love. They are huge white floral fans.
It starts off with notes of Pomelo Zest, Cantaloupe and Mango Mist. The cantaloupe was an interesting addition. I detected a very ripe almost dark fruit note. It is full bodied and rich.
The notes are Jasmine Absolute & Sambac, White Freesia, Magnolia, Marigold, Ivy Leaves, Pink Pepper,Tahitian Tianre, Tuberose Absolute, Rose, Osmanthus, Carnation, Black Violet, White Orris, Vetiver, Cashmaran(Does anyone know what note this is?), Heliotrope, Tonka Bean, a Whipped Cream accord, Sandalwood, White Moss, and Patchouli.
It is a gorgeous jasmine based fragrance. It has a very mild powdery drydown with the heliotrope, violet and white moss notes. This fragrance has wonderful sillage and lasting power. It lasted through the work day and well into the night while I was watching Grey's Anatomy.
BTW: Was anyone else disappointed with the episode?
I expected more bang since we had weeks of reruns.
Beautiful Love is a huge punch of pretty. Just lovely in every way.
It makes me long for spring and that first bloom of flowers, green grass and a bright blue sky.
I have been spoiled with a fairly mild winter...but I am tired of gray Ohio skies. I want sun and pretty.
It is available at your local Estee Lauder counter. It is available in EDP strength.

Yeah, Grey's was definitely not up to par last night... kinda disappointing after all this time.
"A huge punch of pretty." I love it. I must smell this.
About Cashmeran, I've smelled it. It's a very complicated synthetic. I'd describe it, but why work when you can cut and paste? This is a quote from Luca taken from the Emperor of Scent, off of Chandler Burr's website:
"Cashmeran, a pure synthetic. Technically classed as a musk, it is actually a peculiar combination of a transparent sweet note with no precise character, a musty, wet-concrete note with camphorlike feel, and a fruity, blackberries note that pops in and out of focus. You just cannot believe that a single molecule has so many features. The musty, wet-concrete. The camphor. The fruit. The velvet. Smell that? Getting this molecule in your nose is like coming up close to a beautiful face and finding it's made of independently 'wrong' features that add up to a fine harmony."
This new 'fume sounds like a must try and I actaully have an Estee counter in my little county. I could go tonight when at the mall, but I still can't smell that well due to my gray Ohio weather cold:)))
I agree Grey's was just ok. Personally, I am pretty tired of Izzy. my least fav. character, she is too whiney , and just, I don't know, annoying. at least to me.
More Derek and Mer, thats all we need . Well the storyline with alex and Doc Montgomery looks promising.
Thats my 2 cents.
Thank you for the wonderful review, A! I will test this the next time I visit my local EL counter.
I hope you have a great weekend!
Hugs!
