Vanessa Williams at the SAG awards
I knew deep in my heart that she was not going to repeat her red carpet performance from the Golden Globes. Everything was executed perfectly from the dress to the hair. gettyimages
I always think turquoise is a better hue on dark-complected ladies than on the fair-skinned blondes who often wear it. This is stunning on VW. She is still one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood.
I met her some years ago when I worked in the music industry. She was wearing jeans and no makeup, with her oldest daughter, just a baby then, on her hip. She looked so pretty.
I think the dress she wore to the Globes was probably lovely, but who could see it under that dead looking mink shrug and tacky Afro Sheen wig? Indeed the SAG awards dress was a vast improvement. I loved the color!
No one can rock the turquoise like a darker-skinned woman, I agree. (If I wear it a look a bit scary, though not as bad as if I try yellow.) She should wear this color more. Just lovely.

That is better - that's our girl!
