Blogdorf Roadshow:
Tussah's Afghanistan necklace that she purchased off of Ebay. She has no information or any idea on the value. She is not really sure if it is vintage.
In all likelihood it is not vintage. It looks like regular Kuchi or tribal-style Afghani jewelry, the kind that gets mass-produced both in Afghanistan and India and sold far more cheaply there than here. A similar style of jewelry is also popular in the Sindh provinces of Pakistan and India.
I'm agreeing with Anonymous. However, as a tribal style bellydancer, such jewelry is really, really popular among our ilk, so if you were looking to get rid of it, you could get a pretty penny!
Does anyone know what the price is? I have a similar necklace with many more pendants hanging off, as well as some antique "Russian coins." It's from the Kuchi Indian tribe, supposedly, 80% silver, with a balance of tin alloy.

Thanks everyone!
I will let Tussah know!
